SPECIAL SCENARIO RULES:
- OAF 30.7.1: TERRAIN: All buildings are wooden;
building 3N2 is a 3rd Level Building (building itself is 3 and 1/2 elevations
high). Movement along the forest path (10F4) cost infantry 1MF/ Calvary 2
MP but has no other affect. The rowhouse status of buildings on board 10 are
ignored (10AA5) . Treat as level 1 connected wooden buildings.
- OAF 30.7.2: The Russian receives air support
in the form of two IL-2M3 Sturmovik; one 20L(24) w/150 bomb; one with 20L(24)
w/ 37L. The Russian player rolls one die on RT3 rally phase.; if a 1, 2 or
3 is rolled, Sturmovikes arrive on turn 3; otherwise they arrives on turn
4.
- OAF 30.7.3: The German recieve air support
in the form of two Stukas. one 20L(16) w/150 bomb; one is 20L(16) w/ 37L.
If the Stukas have not arrived by turn six, They will arrive beginning turn
6 on a die roll of 1, 2 or 3 instead of the normal 1.
- OAF 30.7.4: The Russians 628s are engineers
for any use of captured FT and DC (may use without normal captured weapon
penalites) but lack smoke making capability. The Russian radio is for on board
artillery use only.
- OAF 30.7.5: Per SQLA rule convention, the
-3 To Kill DRM vs open topped AFVs with height advantage is never in play.
Consider Case C deleted; the -1 height advantage remains in effect. (Note:
Both are eliminated in ASL; -1 applies to plane attacks only. Use of the -3
drm makes MMG/HMG halftrack killers as are immune to both To Hit and visibility
concerns; killing on a 6 or less vs Germans SPWs in the front; 7 or less vs
American halftracks in the front).
- OAF 30.7.6: German Armor Crew Morale is
9 as Gross Deutchland is an elite unit; Russian Armor Crew Morale is 7. Russian
base entrenchment roll is a 6.
AFTERMATH:
The Panzergrenadiers were immediately held up by self propelled
guns and well sighted antitank guns. Fortunately; air support cam swooping down
and cleared the hills. Under the cover of thick smoke; the Germans took one
house after another despite heavy casualties.
WGA NOTES (060925):
As of this writing, sum total of the scenario record is an Axis
record of 3-0. To balance for tournament play, one additional Russian 6-12 HMG
and one radio for on board artillery direct fire has been added.
