BPA COI PBEM ROUND 3 SUMMARY

• TIMEFRAME: July 15, 2004 through March, 23, 05
• SCENARIO: WG204 "Reinforcing Failure"
• Status: This new scenario features combined arms forces; for each sides. Both German and Russian calvary make and appearance in addition to numberous vehicles creating a busy scenario. In retrospect, not ideal for PBEM play. Beginning this round, players secretly select sides. If both pick the same side, the lower rated player bids how many dominant squads are to be added to the non selected side until one player agrees to play the opposing side with an argumented force.

The Axis achieved a split record in this round. One game was plaqued by player availability. David VanBronkhorst's Russians successfully defended the ridge line vs Chris Stewart's Germans to define one finalist. One match game was not completed due to real life priorities imposed on both players. Scott Powers resigned for tournament purposes as the game was still beyond the time limit with no definite ending in sight without a clear winner predicted.
