Credits and Usage

• The VSQL program, through Terrain SSR/Transformation, can alter board terrain (i.e. eliminate level 2 hills, convert brush to woods, change building types, etc) which is invaluable in meeting most Special Scenario Rules (SSR). However, there are limits to such transformations. They may only affect all of the terrain on a specific board(s). You cannot transform a specific hill or building. Similarly, graveyards cannot be converted, orchards can be put out of season, but not converted to woods.
• An example in point is COI scenario 13 'Capture of Balta'; one hill is now marsh, another is eliminated.
• Modifying a board image is the typical method in which to create a 'Custom Board'. However, learning the secondary level knowledge to enable the LOS tool to still function on the customized board requires a dedicated effort.
• Bill Sosnicki has invested the time and effort and is now a graduate of this exclusive club. Please feel free to contact him if you need a custom board for a standard scenario.
• IMPORTANT: The custom boards are contained within a zipped (archive) file. Download the custom board, unzip (extract) the board file from within and place board into your VSQL board directory. Attempts to rename the zipped file to the board filename will NOT work as the board file itself. Renaming the board file itself after extracting it from the zipped file will not work either! The board file name must remain consistent between all players. However, you CAN rename the ZIPPED file if you so desire, but not as a board file.
